Q: What are Thickslick tires?

A: Thickslick bike tires are a lightweight slick tire with a sticky compound. 

Q: What are thickslick tires used for?

A: If you have fixed bike or a single speed you will love a fixie thickslick tire because they roll fast, last a long time because of the thick center and are standard in the cycle community. If you ride fixed big bmx bikes you would put thickslick tires 29 inch on the front to help you throw barspins faster or of them. If you want to put them on your MTB you either want to put them on your DJ and hit a skatepark or ride your MTB for commuting. 

Q: Are Thickslick tires tubeless?

A: No they are not. A tube is required to hold air in thickslick tires. The rubber is too porous.

Q: How to inflate Thickslick tires?

A: You can use a car pump, floor pump, frame pump or an electric pump. With your tube securely inside your tire that is on your rim connect a standard air chuck to the valve stem of your tube. You may want to lay the bike on the side to help install the tire as close as you can in the center of the rim. Slowly air up your tire and look around the tire where the tire meets the rim. You can use the line on the tire to tell if the tire is center. Continue to inflate to the recommended tire pressure on your tire. 700c can inflate to around 110-115psi, 26"-29" inflate to around 60-65psi.

A: Looks may be deceiving but the Thick slick wtb tires last longer than stock tires because it has a thick center. 

Q: Are thickslick tires good?

A: Yes if you are using them for the correct terrain. You wouldn't take a drag car off roading. why would you take your fixed bike downhilling? They are amazing if you utilize its lightweight, thick center and it's tacky rubber compound. Use thickslick 29 tires on a big bmx bike and Thickslick 700x28c tires on a fixed bike.
