If you ride fixed big bmx bikes you would put thickslick tires 29 inch on the front to help you throw barspins faster or of them. A: No they are not. A tube is required to hold air in thickslick tires. The rubber is too porous.
Q: How to inflate Thickslick tires?
A: You can use a car pump, floor pump, frame pump or an electric pump. With your tube securely inside your tire that is on your rim connect a standard air chuck to the valve stem of your tube. You may want to lay the bike on the side to help install the tire as close as you can in the center of the rim. Slowly air up your tire and look around the tire where the tire meets the rim.
