The Odyssey SLS/Race/Linear/Slic brake Cable is the easiest brake cable to install and comes with everything you need to install them on your bike. The cable is pre-stretched and utilizes the super slippery K-shield to allow your brakes to run smoother. Odyssey has 4 styles of these cables to get your stopping correct.
     It starts with the Slic cable that is pre-stretched with standard housing for lightweight riding or general use. The Linear comes with the same feature as the slic cable but housing is upgraded to compressionless housing. This allows you to spin the bars and the brakes to still work. The SLS Linear cable is the same as the Linear with a coated cable to allow your brakes even smoother. The Race Linear is the same as the SLS Linear but have aluminum casing instead of the steel one to save some weight. If you need to freshen up your bikes brakes, this is brake is perfect, level up."

The original Slic Kable® cable has been the go-to cable in BMX for over 30 years. The legendary smooth pull of this cable is thanks to our low friction innerwire and our Slic®  cable liner.

Linear:
The Odyssey Linear Slic cable features a pre-stretched inner 1.5mm Slic Kable® covered in a linear casing to prevent binding, and an outer K-Shield™ mesh housing for less weight over a standard steel mesh housing

SLS Linear:
This is Odyssey's top of the line brake cable that ties together all of their most advanced braking technology. It utilizes the original BMX Linear Slic Kable housing to prevent binding when the bars are rotated. Factory installed ferrule ends with inner volcano shape to prevent housing blow out; A Linear Slic Kable standard since 2008. Specially coated inner wire for ultra low friction, a proven feature resurrected from our once famous Brakeline cables. Gyro lug included at one end of the inner wire for use with detanglers.

Race Linear:

We’ve taken our proven Linear Slic Kable housing and replaced the steel linear wire with aluminum. Utilizing the aluminum wire in the housing saves you significant weight, roughly 30%.

This cable also features our specially designed “volcano” ferrules that we’ve used since 2008 to prevent housing blowouts. This Kable also comes with color-coded inner wires and ball ends to differentiate between our regular Linear Slic Kable (3.2 oz) and the Race version (3.2 oz.)
