STACKED: You have been killin’ it lately and we are hyped on that. What has been going on lately?

MATT CLOSSON: Lately I’ve just been riding a lot and trying to stack some cheese. Been working on my section for the Blunted DVD “Forever Rolling” all year and it’s been awesome.

STACKED: Everyone is amazed by your tire rides, what makes you think you can just float on by?

MATT CLOSSON: Haha! I don’t know man it’s just one of those things that makes sense to me. Sometimes I’d rather put my tires on a spot than even grind it.

STACKED: Do you think you will ever put on 4 pegs and spice things up?

MATT CLOSSON: I think about it a lot. I really like riding trails and flowing concrete parks. I feel if I put four pegs on I would spend all my time jibbing cuz it’s fun and safe.

STACKED: You recently got pick up by a few brands. How is that working out for you?

MATT CLOSSON: I’m really hyped on all my sponsors! It’s a good feeling to represent rider owned companies.

STACKED: We haven’t seen you at the shop in a month or so, where the hell have you been?

MATT CLOSSON: I start to feel unproductive and bored when I’m in one place too long, I like to travel and switch it up a lot. I’ve pretty much made the move to Vegas to stay with my girlfriend right now.

STACKED: Who do you hang with on the regs? and why?

MATT CLOSSON: It’s crazy cuz all my friends are spread out so it really depends what city I’m in. That’s one of the dope things about BMX. Jourdan Barba, Tammy McCarley, Larry Alvarado, and Keaton Harris are a few of my really good homies.

STACKED: I don’t think peeps know you can ride trails, any chances of getting some more trail clips in your next video?

MATT CLOSSON: I would love too! Trails is where it all began for me. I mainly film in the streets cuz I really like the whole process of it. Riding through a city with your friends finding spots and coming up with an idea on something that’s not made to be ridden. It is one of the coolest things to me. But yeah I’ll get some trails clips maybe even a whole trails edit, haha.

STACKED: Any plans on making a new video? If so what are you working on?

MATT CLOSSON: I got a web video in the works with Larry Alvarado. I want to finish before the end of the year. Besides that my main focus has been my “Forever Rolling” section. It’s my first DVD part so I’ve been having a lot of fun with that. We’re almost done filming for it and the DVD should be out beginning of next year.

STACKED: It would be cool to see you enter some contest, are you going to any in the short future?

MATT CLOSSON: I plan on going to Texas Toast for sure. I’ve gone the last 2 years and rode both trails and street. It’s too much fun to not go. I’m also trying to get out to Simple Session. I’ve never been out there and I need to make that happen.

STACKED: Anything else going on in the future?

MATT CLOSSON: My signature Flossin sprocket is about to drop!

STACKED: do you have any thanks?

MATT CLOSSON: A huge thank you to everyone who’s helped me in anyway to get to where I am right now.
